PAINT
After flatting the primer, the Rocco was degreased and masked for the application of a red undercoat. This was necessary because red metallics do not cover yellow primer very easily. The red undercoat would stop the yellow "bleeding" through.
The undercoat was then wet flatted using 800 grit paper. Now we were ready for final paint. After masking, degreasing and tacking off, including the Storm spoiler on the stand, the first of six coats of Indiana red basecoat were applied.
Here I am again in my groovy spraying outfit. This is the application of the clearcoat. This was left to air dry overnight then wet flatted with 1500 grit paper and hand burnished with Farecla G3 rubbing compound.
