INTERIOR

For the Mk2 Storm, blue trim with blue paint, tan trim with brown. The picture on the right is the interior of my car, note the service history. Thick pile carpets are used again. Early Mk2 Sciroccos had a colour coded dash. On a Cosmos blue Storm its Mauritius Blue. The Havanna brown car has a saddle brown dashboard.

Leather split folding rear seats.

A VW publicity photo of the blue Storm interior.

Tan leather door cards.

A leather gear lever gaiter and steering wheel rim were again featured on the Mk2. Door casing panels are also leather. Storms also featured a fader control for the stereo located on the centre console just behind the gear lever. The gear knob is also trimmed in leather. The MFA has the separate journey memory knob in the top right hand corner of the instrument pod, same as the Mk1 Golf GTI.

The UK list price for the Mk2 Storm when new was £9,795.99, making it the most expensive UK Volkswagen of the time.

A Blaupunkt Melbourne MR23 stereo was fitted as standard, along with an electric aerial. Luckily I managed to track down the original stereo on eBay. I even had the Blaupunkt instruction manual and wiring diagrams that came with the car when new.
